doing...The Associate Director - Accounts Payable Digital
Finance/Projects position will be responsible for overseeing,
leading, and managing Global Accounts Payable Operations for
Digital Finance, 1ERP, AP projects and other centralized functions
and will directly assist the Director of Global Accounts Payable
with executing the strategic vision of the organization.
- Lead and align all current and future automation projects
within AP strategic initiatives.
- Support the 1ERP initiative to ensure alignment with Accounts
Payable global requirements and successful implementations.
- Oversee non-transactional functions such cash forecasting,
M&A integration, data trust, breakage/enhancement management
and support self-serve and ad hoc reporting.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable management/staff, other
Finance departments, Sourcing/Procurement, business operations
groups, IT and external business partners to ensure solutions meet
the needs of the business while promoting efficient operations and
providing guidance on policy and process decisions. What we're

to have:
- A Bachelor's degree or four or more years work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
- Three or more years experience with SAP. Even better if you
have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business or
MIS.
- Expert knowledge of Accounts Payable including processes, laws,
taxation and financials along with internal Verizon policies and
controls.
- Eight or more years experience managing a multi-function team
of employees.
- Five or more years experience with SAP.
- Proven background utilizing relevant ERP, digital tools and
support systems.
- Experience with current digital tools, including but not
limited to RPA, RDA, BI, visualization tools and software
automation.
- Ability to collaborate and interact across functional
boundaries and multiple organizational levels.
- Effective decision making ability to drive strategic
results.
- Strong organizational and communication (both oral and written)
skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the
organization.
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Office and Google suite.
- Strong organization, delegation and time management
skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to effectively formulate and
communicate complex ideas.
- Superior quantitative analytical and problem solving skills and
comfortable in a data driven business environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while developing and
meeting deadlines.
- Certification desired such as Certified Public Accountant,
Certified Management Accountant, Certified Accounts Payable
Professional, or Project Management Professional.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
- Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and
flexible.
- Ability to champion opportunities to simplify and standardize
systems and data across the company.
- Strong project and program management skills, ability to manage
all aspects of project management, including risk and contingency
planning.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem solving and root
cause identification skills, to review results and present data in
a manner that influences and drives the business to achieve
