Job Description:
The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) is actively
recruiting a staff Physician in Diagnostic Radiology to help care
for our veterans, America's Heroes. EOVAHCS consists of a medium
complexity hospital, a two-year-old 180,000 sq ft ambulatory care
center, and several community-based outpatient clinics. A second
hospital is planned to open in 2025. EOVAHCS serves veterans
residing in multiple counties throughout the Eastern Oklahoma
region with 55,000 Veterans in the EOVAHCS service area. This
exciting job opportunity awaits you to join our expanding team to
better serve veteran patients! In addition, there are opportunities
for participation in the education and teaching of residents,
medical students, and other providers. The Radiology/Nuclear
Medicine Service is comprised of state-of-the-art imaging platforms
across all imaging modalities. Staff physicians report to the Chief
of Service who, in turn, is accountable to the Chief of Staff. The
candidate should have a diversified skill set with mandatory
inclusion of MRI and/or breast imaging. The candidate must be
committed to establishing collaborative relationships with staff
providers to ensure the provision of optimal and efficient care to
our veteran population.The Staff Physicians may have teaching
opportunities due to our association with Oklahoma State University
College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSUCOM) and the Oklahoma
University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (OUCOM) program.Work
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Assignments
will rotate between the hospital and outpatient center. Call is
primarily confined to telephone consultations.
