Job Title: Town AdministratorLocation: Town of Copan, OklahomaJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: $62,400 - $156,000, based on experience Job Summary: The Town of Copan is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as Town Administrator. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the town, implementing policies set by the Board of Trustees, and ensuring efficient and effective municipal services. Key Responsibilities:--- Manage the day-to-day operations of the town government.--- Implement policies and directives from the Board of Trustees.--- Prepare and manage the town s budget.--- Supervise town staff and departments.--- Oversee public works, community development, and other municipal services.--- Serve as a liaison between the Board of Trustees, residents, and other stakeholders.--- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.--- Address and resolve citizen inquiries and complaints.--- Represent the town at various meetings and events.--- Oversee and understand utility billing operations for water, sewer, gas, and electric services, ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.--- Possess general knowledge of water plant operations and compliance paperwork to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards.--- Execute contracts and agreements on behalf of the town.--- Develop and maintain long-term plans and strategies for the town. Qualifications:--- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal government or a related field.--- Strong leadership and management skills.--- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.--- Knowledge of municipal finance, budgeting, and public administration.--- Ability to work collaboratively with elected officials, staff, and the public.--- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.--- Preferred but not required: Oklahoma Water and Wastewater License and Oklahoma Natural Gas License. Candidates without these licenses must demonstrate a willingness to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe.
