As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in our customer-focused culture as you lead your team of professionals to develop both short-term and long-term strategies for employee development, the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain. The scope of leadership includes inventory control, acquisition of goods, transportation, warehousing, planning, scheduling, and distribution for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. This multi-faceted role will work interdepartmentally to meet or exceed the goals of our remanufacturing facility.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Effectively managing all distribution operations, including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, supplier management, quality, and customer service.
  • Ensuring all operating goals are met, including cost, safety, schedule conformance, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, supply levels, customer service, employee productivity, etc.
  • Managing a team of employees with continuous development, accountability and intentionality through formal one-on-one communication.
  • Develop effective Supply Chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction and best value solution.
  • Establishes and reports performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain with appropriate countermeasures where necessary.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measures performance through agreed upon KPI's (Key performance Indicators).
  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques; analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members to develop effective teams throughout the organization.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establish policies and processes to qualify new suppliers and manage the relationship to guarantee the best value solution of price, availability, and quality.
  • Serves as the escalation point to address concerns with supplier performance.
  • Monitor forecasts, market conditions, and industry trends to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Assists, implements, creates, and supports proper utilization of ERP system.
  • Use Excel spreadsheets to manipulate data extracts from ERP to assist with determining materials and scheduling requirements.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of the organization from hourly associates to senior management.
  • Promoting and ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant course of study required.
  • Seven (7) or more years of comprehensive supply chain experience including warehousing, purchasing, production scheduling, inventory management, and distribution required.
  • APIC certification preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills that align with the core values and beliefs of the CNH Reman organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Understanding of market trends.
  • Effective leadership that motivates and engages team members, manages priorities, and projects that practice efficiency with all resources: people, time schedules, and project plans for excellent customer service.
  • ERP implementation and data input capabilities.
  • Communicate, schedule, and manage effectively by using Microsoft office programs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • High diligence, Sense of urgency, strategic, analytical.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
